
Overview
LUSSCARO™ is a premium chocolate brand built around single-origin cacao and European patisserie culture.
The client asked WYLLOLAB™ to create a hero packaging system and visual toolkit for their 70% Madagascar Cacao bar: something that would feel at home in an artisan cioccolateria, but also photograph perfectly for e-commerce and international distribution.
Our scope covered packaging localization, front & back layout refinements, premium visualization, retail shelf scenarios and a seasonal gifting concept, all while preserving the depth and craft of the original brand.
Brand Context
LUSSCARO™ positions itself at the intersection of:
- Artisan Italian chocolate making
- Single-origin bean-to-bar storytelling
- Minimal, almost fashion-grade packaging design
The existing identity already had strong elements: the cacao illustration, the burgundy band for origin and percentage, and a restrained typographic system. What was missing was a consistent visual language across front, back, retail presence and seasonal gifting that could scale from a single bar to a full line.
Localization Challenge
The brand wanted to expand beyond Italy while keeping the pack visually calm and premium:
- Add multi-language storytelling (English, Italian, French)
- Maintain legibility and hierarchy around ingredients and origin statement
- Clarify all legal and nutritional information while staying true to the deep-black aesthetic
- Produce hero visuals that look fully photographic, not CGI, for both boutique placement and online retail
The challenge: elevate perceived value while keeping the elegant, minimalist restraint that makes LUSSCARO™ stand out.
What We Did
1. Front Panel Refinement
- Enhanced the silver-foil logotype and cacao illustration
- Adjusted hierarchy between artwork, logo, and origin band
- Strengthened legibility at thumbnail sizes for e-commerce
- Reworked micro-text lines for precision & consistency
2. Back Panel Localization
- Organized three-language layout into balanced, readable blocks
- Fixed line spacing, legal phrasing, and ingredient clarity
- Improved contrast and readability for both print & digital
3. Premium Visualization
- Hero packshots on marble with warm gradients
- Boutique chocolatier scene for atmospheric storytelling
- Professional kitchen scene next to plated desserts
